Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman for Janis A. Wichert. She passed away peacefully Sunday evening at Greenbriar Healthcare Center.
Janis was born April 27, 1957 in Youngstown a daughter of Ray and Shirley Allen Wichert. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1975. Jan worked for Richardson's French Fries in high school and then she worked at Mapsco and retired from American Paper after 29 years as an envelope machine operator. She was a member of Gibson Heights Second Presbyterian Church
She enjoyed golfing, bowling and bowled with several leagues and playing cards.
Surviving her is her mother Shirley Wichert of Poland, several aunts and uncles and her dear friend Kim Telford of Poland.
Preceding her in death is her father Ray Wichert who died in 1964 and brother Jeffrey Allen Wichert who passed away June 4, 1998.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Thursday from 10:00 am-10:45 am both at Davis-Becker Funeral Home.
The Family requests any memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.
