Janice Ruth Kranich, 90
Ocala, Fla. - Graveside services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Lake Park Cemetery for Janice Ruth Kranich, 90, who passed away Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Kranich was born Jan. 1, 1922, in Youngstown, a daughter of Godfrey and Martha June Klinger Perry.
She graduated from South High School in 1940 and received degrees from the Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass., and from John Hopkins University School of Nursing. She earned her Master's Degree from Wayne State in 1959. She was employed as Assistant Director of Nursing at Harper Hospital, in Detroit for 32 years.
Janice married Clifford Kranich in 1968 and upon retirement in 1983 moved to Ocala, Fla., from Taylor, Mich. She was a member of the Ocala First Nazarene Church, Ocala Florida and New Covenant Worship Center and the Church of the Nazarene in Youngstown.
She is survived by a brother, Godfrey James (Rosemary) Perry of Austintown; a sister-in-law, Nancy Perry of Oklahoma; two step children, Greg Kranich of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Nancy Devins of Allen Park, Mich.; five step grandchildren; four nieces; and two nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents were two brothers, Fred and George Perry.
The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the New Covenant Worship Center, 1900 Canfield Road, Youngstown, OH 44511.
