New Middletown - Janice C. Carson, 75, died Wednesday morning, September 5, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Mrs. Carson was born January 29, 1937 in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert Arkwright and Maxine Peters Carnes.

She attended South High School and was a homemaker. When not busy taking care of her family, she enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, and antiquing in her spare time.

Mrs. Carson was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Youngstown.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Janice taught the values of love and family, instilling them in her children and grandchildren.

She leaves her husband, Daniel J. Carson, whom she married May 5, 1961; two sons, Bob (Rhonda) Carson of New Middletown and Will (Doreen) Carson of Tyrone, GA; three daughters, Maxine (Frank) Rendulic of Dayton, Margaret Carson, and Danielle Carson, both of Youngstown; ten grandchildren, Courtney (Evan) Bartsch of Columbus, Allison (Brandon) Caldwell of Clayton, NC, Tiffany Carson of New Middletown, Janice, Frankie, Hillary, and D.J. Rendulic, all of Dayton, Kristopher Granger of Raleigh, NC, and Cassie and Brittany Carson of Tyrone, GA; and son-in-law, Kurt Granger of Fort Lauderdale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Granger.

A Mass will be held Saturday, September 15th, at 1 p.m. at St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main Street, Girard, where family and friends will be received one hour prior to the Mass.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Terry Bury, Gretchen Gualandi, Marla Penza, Traci Yuhasz, Donna George, Marlene Lewis, Holly Testa, Michele Huda, Janine Keshock, the McGarry Family, Dr. Shannon Barillare and her staff, the Women's Guild of St. Angela Merici Parish, and all the staff of 6 West at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, especially Cola Johnson.

Janice's family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in her name to Springfield Christmas Baskets, PO Box 48, New Middletown, Ohio 44442.
