Boardman - Jane Kimmel, 85, formerly of Poland, died September 29, 2009 at Beeghly Oaks.
Mrs. Kimmel was born June 19, 1924 in Leechburg, PA, a daughter of Charles and Beatrice Cunningham Sinclair. She moved to Youngstown in 1939 and to Poland in 1949.
A 1941 graduate of The Rayen School, Mrs. Kimmel worked as a customer service representative for Prudential Insurance Company, retiring in 1987. After retirement, she worked at Wittenauer Gift Shoppe & Pharmacy in Poland.
She was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church, where she belonged to its' Mary Martha Circle, Steven Ministries, and she served on many committees throughout her 50-year membership. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy and she enjoyed following all of their extracurricular activities.
Her husband, Robert S. Kimmel, whom she married July 20, 1946, died May 5, 2001. She leaves her daughter, Susan (Glen) Welton of Poland; son, Robert "Sam" (Bonnie) Kimmel of Poland; two sisters, Ann Wilson of Darlington, PA and her twin, Jean Smith of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Kelly (Paul) Loftus of Lowellville, Jenni (Justin) Markey of Stow, Heidi (Kevin) McCreary of Tallmadge and Keith (Katie) Welton of Poland; and four great grandchildren, Bobby, Garrett, Evan, and he or she who is expected in April.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Sinclair.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Pastor Dan Yargo officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
