James L. Silvis, 68, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. He was born June 5, 1947 in Warren, son of the late Charles and Pansy Silvis.
Jim was employed as a truck driver and loved riding four wheelers and working with tools. He enjoyed playing poker and Science Fiction movies, especially Star Trek. Jim and his wife, Cindy, were lovingly given the nicknames Archie and Edith by family members.
He leaves his wife, Cindy Joyce Silvis of New Waterford; step-daughter, Cynthia Dean of Columbiana; step-granddaughter, Alisha Dean of Columbiana; his brother, William Silvis; sisters-in-law, Janet Behlke, Wanda Quear, Connie Sipes and Sharon Mull and brothers-in-law, Thomas Joyce and Wayne Sipes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Pullian.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11am at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St Struthers.
Friends will be received Sunday from 3-5pm and prior to the service on Monday from 10-10:45am at the funeral home.
