James B. Rouzzo, 47, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 15th, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones at Mercy Health St Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
James, known by his family and friends as Jimmy, was born September 21, 1976, in Youngstown, a son of James A. and Donna Jean Rouzzo. He lives on through his father, whom he respected and cherished.
At the age of 12, being the hard worker that he was, he started working with his dad and had dreams of starting his own business. He achieved that goal at 28 years old, starting his company JBR Concrete Construction. He could fix anything, and if you were blessed to know him, you knew you could count on him to get it done.
He had a heart of gold that lives on through his children who will carry on his family traditions that meant the world to him. He was a proud dad and an outstanding father who blessed his children with the wisdom to always stick together and made sure to instill the lesson that family is absolutely everything. He also loved spending time with his dad who was his best friend.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna J Rouzzo. He missed her fiercely and is now resting peacefully with her.
He is survived by his father, James A Rouzzo, of New Waterford; his fiancée, Holly Dinsio; two daughters, Sabrina M Rouzzo and Renee R Rouzzo (Matt May); one son, James D Rouzzo, who will carry on his name; his brother, Donald Dowd (Lisa Dowd); three sisters, Angela Rouzzo (Linda Mackey), Melinda Dowd, and Candice Rouzzo (Wayne Dunning); three nieces; one nephew; a great-nephew; and his four-legged companions, Cy, Deena, and Rocco.
Jimmy didn't like to be the center of attention and as per his request, a private memorial will be held for him. There are no calling hours.
We walk everywhere with him in our hearts and will continue to spread his heart of gold to future generations. He is cherished. He is loved. He will always be remembered and honored.
Arrangements are being handled by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
