James E. Prestas Sr

Struthers - James E. "Jimi" Prestas, Sr., 57, of Struthers, died March 3, 2011 at his home.
James, affectionately known as "Jimi", was born August 27, 1953 in Youngstown, a son of Emro Prestas and Helen (Hilbon) Kolis. Jimi has been a lifelong area resident.
He was a1971 graduate of North High School and worked as a materials handler for Kraftmaid in Middlefield for 11 years. An outdoorsman, Jimi enjoyed fishing and collecting guns. His biggest and most joyous hobby was spending time with his family and two grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Helen Kolis of Canfield, Jimi leaves his wife, the former Kathy Oliver, whom he married February 23, 1974; two sons, James (Tina) Prestas of Boardman and Michael Rothwell of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Sherri (Sam) Pacora of Girard; sister, Jean (Eric) Prestas-Corson of Philadelphia, PA; brother, John (Terri) Prestas of Canfield; and two grandchildren Savannah and Samuel Pacora.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers with Pastor Robert Noble officiating. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
