Youngstown - James W. Mayhew, 63, of Youngstown, died Wednesday evening at Valley Renaissance Center in Boardman.
James, affectionately known as Jimmy was born March 25, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of the late Fred and Catherine Liberatore Mayhew.
A 1965 graduate of Wilson High School, Jimmy owned Jimmy's Pizza Shop in Struthers and had Mayhew's Window Cleaning Service for many years.
Jimmy was the Golden Glove Champion for the State of Ohio in 1964 having never lost a fight in two years.
He is a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.
Jimmy leaves his sister, Gerri (Dan) Madden of North Lima; his brother, Fred (Lyn) Mayhew of Canfield; two sons, James Mayhew of Austintown and Matthew Mayhew of Aliquippa, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Valley Rennaisance Center in Boardman for the remarkable care they gave Jimmy for the last two years.
Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Fellowship Church with Rev. Fred Mayhew officiating.
Friends will be received Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.
