Youngstown - James R. Malarick, 53, of Youngstown, died of cancer Monday morning, January 28, in University Hospitals of Cleveland. Jim was born April 30, 1954 in Youngstown, a son of Robert F. and Jane Simkins Malarick. He was a graduate of Struthers High School and was a foreman for P.C. Campana. He enjoyed playing pool and volunteering for Bingo at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Jim leaves his wife, the former Shirley Lovett, whom he married May 28, 2005; one daughter, Stephanie (Kristopher) Krol of Salem; one son, Kevin Malarick of Struthers; one brother, Timothy Malarick of Struthers; a nephew, Robert Malarick of Columbus; and a grandson, Dominic Michael Krol of Salem. Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one brother, William J. Malarick; and one nephew, Patrick William Malarick. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Lowellville. Friends will be received Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where a prayer service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent at
