James Kutchel, Jr. North Lima- James Kutchel, Jr., 86, of Glenellen, formerly of Howell Drive in Poland, died early Saturday morning at Glenellen. Mr. Kutchel was born July 7, 1920 in Yugoslavia, a son of James and Mary Kutchel. At the age of 10 he came with his family to the United States and to Lowellville where he resided until moving to Poland in 1955. He was a millwright for the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Coke Plant for 38 years retiring in 1984. Mr. Kutchel was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II from 1943 until 1945. He was a member of Holy Family Church where he served as an usher, was a member of the Poland Knights of Columbus, and St Vincent DePaul Society. His wife the former Edith Cervello whom he married February 21, 1946 died June 13, 1998. He leaves one daughter, Kathleen (David) Poorman of Boardman; one son, James (Elaine) Kutchel III of Austintown; one sister, Ann Martin of Boardman; four grandchildren, James Kutchel IV, Jacqueline Kutchel, Gina Kutchel and Jill Potkanowicz; and two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Rebecca Potkanowicz. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Kutchel was preceded in death by a sister Mary Andervich, a brother Joseph Kutchel and a niece Margie Becker. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:00AM at Holy Family Church. Friends may call Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
