James J. "JJ" Johnston

Boardman - Mr. James J. "JJ" Johnston, 75, of Boardman, died early Wednesday morning at the Hospice of the Valley Hospice House.
Mr. Johnston was born September 12, 1936, in Youngstown, OH, a son of William and Grace Warner Johnston.
A life long area resident, Mr. Johnston attended North High School. He retired in 1999 as Supervisor for Wean United, where he worked for 40 years.
After retirement Mr. Johnston enjoyed spending time at Guilford Lake.
Mr. Johnston was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
He leaves behind four sons; James, Jeffrey (Chris), and Jerry Johnston all of Boardman.and Michael Johnston of Poland; one brother, Ernie Johnston of Crystal River, FL; three step-sisters; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his brother William.
Services will be Saturday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, with Pastor Robert Quaintance officiating.
Friends will be received from 9:00-10:45AM at the funeral home.
