James Joseph âa�A"Buffer Jimâa�A� Grosso, 74 Youngstown- James Joseph Grosso, 74, of Youngstown, died early Tuesday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mr. Grosso was born May 7, 1929 in Struthers, a son of Anthony and Grace DeGregorio Grosso. He was a life-long area resident. He was janitor for Tamco Industries for 7 years retiring in 2000. Prior to Tamco he worked at U.S. Steel. Mr. Grosso was a United States Army Veteran serving twice for both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Ss.Cyril and Methodius Church in Youngstown and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a dedicated family man enjoying his time with his family. Besides his wife the former Linda Statler whom he married 51 years ago on January 14, 1951, he leaves two daughters, Lorye Partlow of Boardman and Frances âa�A"Winkâa�A� (Joe) Valentino of Campbell; three sons, Tony (Kathy) Grosso of Canfield, Stanley (Melanie) Grosso of Fort Polk, Louisiana and James Joseph (Roxanne) Grosso, Jr. of Austintown; one sister, Natalie Hamrock of Youngstown; one brother, Stanley Grosso of Boardman; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, two brothers, Stanley and Anthony Grosso and one grandson, Mark Grosso preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home where friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
