James G. Fortunato, 82 Struthers- James G. Fortunato, 82 of 285 Como Street died early Thursday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mr. Fortunato was born December 1, 1919 in Youngstown, a son of the late Anthony and Mary Damiano Fortunato. He was a life-long area resident. He was a welder for G.A.T.X. Corporation for 24 years retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ where he was a Deacon and former Trustee. He was a member of the Retireeâa�a��s Club for G.A.T.X. Corp. and the Local Steelworkers Union #1831. He was an Army veteran serving stateside during World War II. Besides his wife the former Ann Mignella whom he married January 5, 1946 he leaves three daughters, Carol Ann and son-in-law Roy Weamer, Dorothy and son-in-law David Grover all of Struthers and Marilyn and son-in-law Brian Goldman of Dickinson, Texas; one son James at home; one sister, Carmela Greco Marini of Boardman; two brothers, Carmen Fortunato of Poland and Anthony Fortunato of Tarpon Springs, Florida; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding in death is a step-father, Guarino Greco, three brothers, Fred and Salvatore Fortunato and Donald Greco and one sister, Victoria Fortunato. Funeral services will be Monday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 PM and Monday from 10-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
