James K. Brozik

Poland - James K. Brozik, 69, died Tuesday evening, January 9, 2018 at Vibra Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Brozik was born on September 10, 1948 in Waynesburg, PA, a son of James and Martha Huddleston Brozik.

Raised in Pennsylvania, he was a 1966 graduate of Mapletown High School. He attended Beckley University in West Virginia for two years until being drafted into the United States Army in 1969. Mr. Brozik completed Officer's Candidate School in Ft. Benning, GA and served two tours in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged in 1972, he relocated to the Youngstown area and attended Youngstown State University.

Mr. Brozik owned and operated Brozik Painting & Decorating for over 25 years and was a member of the Painter's Union Local No. 476. Jamie will always be remembered as a devoted husband, good man, friend, and neighbor, who was always kind and ready to help anyone in need.

He leaves his wife, the former Patricia DeLost, whom he married October 11, 1975; two brothers-in-law, whom he thought of as his own brothers, Richard (Barbara) DeLost of Warren and Robert (Linda) DeLost of Poland; three nieces, Jennifer (Chad) Long of Chagrin Falls, Rebecca (Craig) Eskay of Poland, and Kayleigh Brozik of Wasilla, AK; two nephews, Robert (Keri) DeLost of Huntersville, NC and Brian DeLost of Heiskell, TN; a great-niece, Alyssa Eskay; and a great-nephew, Dominic DeLost.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brozik was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Brozik.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman.

A private funeral service will held on Monday for the family. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions to the Brozik Fund, 201 E. Commerce St., Youngstown, Ohio 44503, which is a Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley Fund.
