Boardman - James Harry Best, 55, of 7042 Paxton Road, Boardman, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at Hospice House after a battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born June 22, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Raymond (Liz) Best and Barbara (Pat) Burt Cua. Jim graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and then attended trade school for heating and air conditioning. He also taught various skills at a Youngstown trade school and worked at multiple skilled jobs. Jim was a master tradesman. He was a former member of United Church of Christ. Jim loved growing plants, gardening, and building models. He is survived by his parents; his son, James Best of Columbiana; a sister, Karen (Paul) Vagnarelli of Boardman; a brother, David Best of Canfield; two nieces, Kristi Vagnarelli of Boardman and Brittany Best of Poland; a nephew, Paul (Lori and daughter, Gianna) Vagnarelli of Youngstown; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Violet Burt; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Irene Best. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
