Jacquelyn "Jackie" O'Hara, 78, of Boardman, formerly of Struthers, died Friday morning at her residence.
Jackie was born in her family home in Struthers, Ohio on January 10, 1933. She was a daughter of John and Dorothy Dugas Pollock.
In 1950 she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and went to work immediately at Forest Lawn Cemetery as a secretary. In December of 1951 she started with the Dollar Savings and Trust Company where she worked until her marriage in 1963. She returned to work there retiring in 1995 as manager of the bank's Youngstown State University office, which was then National City Bank. Jackie loved people and banking.
Jackie belonged to the American Institute of Banking and served on the Board of Directors of their Youngstown Chapter. She also volunteered for many years on the Local Cancer Drive and served as Chairman for the Struthers Neighborhood Cancer Driv e.
Jackie enjoyed bowling, golf, crocheting and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed playing cards and belonged to a card club, with dear friends who have been together for over 5o years.
She leaves her dear husband Bill, who she married September 14, 1963 at Holy Family Church in Poland; two sons, Michael (Angie) O'Hara of Boardman and Sean (Jennifer) O'Hara of Austintown; three daughters, Patricia (Ron) Mackie of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Kacey (Jerry) Morell and Megan (Ron) Shives all of Struthers; and one sister and her friend, Donna Gardner and Sam Wilson of Brooksville, Fl;
Jackie's family meant everything to her and she was so proud of her 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren to who she was "Gram" Grammie" or "Mimi". Grandchildren, Alicia (Jason) Wurst, Justin O'Hara, Shannon (Kevin) Sidon, Lauren (Steve) Bruno, Patrick Mackie, Jordan, Madison, and Mason Morell, McKenna, Karli, and Kamryn Shives, Samantha Skowron and Emily O'Hara; great-grandchildren, Jaden and Mason Wurst, Kiera Bruno, Sophia and Jackson Sidon.
Besides her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Delrose and husband Bob Braid of Peachtree, GA, formerly of Struthers.

Jackie was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Wednesday, 10:00 am with Father Bob Bonnot and Deacon John Terranova officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland where a Prayer Service will be held Wednesday at 9:15 am.
