Struthers - Jackleene M Denmeade, 68 of Struthers, died Thursday evening at Hospice House. Mrs. Denmeade was born October 8, 1938 in Columbia, PA, a daughter of Eugene and Elsie Gibbs. She was an active member of Bethel Friends Church in Poland, volunteering her time in custodial, the nursery, Youth Sunday School Class, and the decorating committee. Mrs. Denmeade was past president of the Struthers PTA. She enjoyed bowling at the Holiday Bowl and the Bowladrome, both in Struthers. Mrs. Denmeade leaves her husband Harry Denmeade whom she married December 8, 1956; one son, Jeffrey Denmeade at home; two daughters, Elaine Denmeade at home and Lisa M Denmeade of Poland; ; five sisters, Dottiemae Jacobs, of Allentown PA, Rosie Maize of North Thumberland PA, Joyce Shrum, of York PA Theda Shive, of York, PA and Alice Shrum of York, PA; six brothers, John Shue, Ronald Shue, Robert Shrum, and Lewis Shrum also of York, PA, and Thomas Dukes and Eugene Gibbs both of Utah; one grandson, Cody Adam Denmeade, and two adopted grandsons, Jacob and Philip Hockensmith. Besides her parents Mrs. Denmeade was preceded in death by her brother Austin Shue. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Friends Church, Monday, February 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bobby Murphy officiating. Friends will be received Sunday, 5-8 P.M., and Monday 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Bethel Friends Church.
