Jack E. Sommerlad

Youngstown-Jack Sommerlad, 83, died at his home on March 30th, 2012. Jack was born in Youngstown on July 19th, 1928, the son of Edward and Ruth Sommerlad. Mr. Sommerlad graduated from Poland High School and Youngstown State University. He served in the United States Army and had his own accounting business for 50 years. He had a love for sports and played in baseball tournaments all over the country. He scored a 299 in bowling and a hole in one in golf. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Jack leaves his wife Judy; son Jay (Robin) Sommerlad; daughter Joan (Matt); and grandson, Jordan. A memorial will be held in April.
