Youngstown - J. Daniel Sullivan, 70, died January 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mr. Sullivan was born February 17, 1943 in Youngstown, a son of John and Rita O'Hara Sullivan.
He was a Chaney High School graduate and attended Youngstown State University.
Dan was founder of family operated Sullivan's Bookkeeping & Tax Service in Boardman and Hubbard.
He was a member of Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Dan is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Powis of Youngstown, whom he married June17, 1967; three daughters, Deborah (Jesse) Edson of Cleveland, Kathleen Kalosky of Boardman, and Sandra (Bradley) Baylor of Tallmadge; a sister-in law Joyce (Alan) Murray of Boardman; a brother -in-law Jack (Mary Lou) Powis of Tallahassee, Fl; a sister, Noreen (William) Smaltz of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; Richie, Joey, Holly, Kyle, Chelsie, Zane, and Brandon; several nieces and nephews; and his mother- in- law, Ethel Powis of Boardman.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Services will be held at the new Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gary Koerth officiating.
Friends and family will be received Monday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 10:45AM at the funeral home.
