Boardman
Private Services were held Tuesday for Jon Scott Bloyer. He passed away Sunday evening at his home.
Mr. Bloyer was born Jan. 15, 1960 in Youngstown, a son of Parke S. and Joycelyn Kish Bloyer. He was a 1978 graduate of Boardman High School where he had been the lead vocalist in South Pacific and Oklahoma school plays. He also attended Youngstown State University and was in the ROTC there.
Scott coached Boardman Little Spartans football and Class B baseball. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, a supporter of the OSU Buckeyes. He also supported YSU athletics and had just attended the YSU vs Northern Iowa game on Saturday.
He had volunteered for many years for the Aut Mori Circus at the Struthers Fieldhouse as the director of the handicapped seating.
He enjoyed fishing at Lake Milton and at Mill Creek Park.
Surviving him is his parents Parke and Joycelyn Bloyer of Poland, his loving best friends Christine Bode and her son Lee Hufnagel and his friend at CDC in Canfield, Deanna. Also his cats whom he adored especially Billy and Gateway.
Preceding him in death is a sister Jill Virgallito and a brother Parke Bloyer, Jr.
