Isabella R. Weden

Isabella R. Weden, 92 North Lima- Isabella R. Weden, 92, of Caprice Health Care, formerly of Struthers died early Monday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Weden affectionately known as Isie was born July 14, 1913 in Struthers, a daughter of Thomas A. and Estella Morgan Roberts. She was a life-long resident of Struthers. She was a 1932 graduate of Struthers High School and received her nursing certificate from St. Luke Hospital in Cleveland. She was a registered nurse for over 35 years. Isie was a member of the Retired Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, Ohio Nurses Association District #3, and a life member of Cleveland General and Saint Luke Nurses Alumnae Association. Along with Dr. Bunn, Isie helped establish The Heart Association, integrating rheumatic fever into the Association. She was a member of the AARP and for over 60 years was a member of the âa�A"Sub-Debsâa�A� bridge club. Isie was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church and a former member of the Woodland Ave. Lutheran Church. Her husband Edward L.Weden, Jr., whom she married February 6, 1941, died March 21, 1992. She leaves three sisters, Eleanor Adams and Betty Sprague both of Poland and Sarah Metzler of Warren; one sister-in-law, Betty Collins; several nieces and nephews; and a friend LeRoy Bartelmay. Besides her parents and husband, Isie was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Hill. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
