Irene J. Kasvinsky

Irene J. Kasvinsky, 93 Poland- Irene J. Kasvinsky, 93, formerly of Raintree Run, died early Wednesday morning at the Greenbriar Health Care Center, Boardman. Mrs. Kasvinsky was born August 27, 1909 in Norwalk, CT a daughter of the late Imre and Bertha Lengyel Kedves. She grew up in the Bridgeport, CT area graduating from Central High School, and spent most of her life in Fairfield, CT, finally moving to the Poland area in 1999. At one time Mrs. Kasvinsky was the assistant to the Bridgeport Public Defender. She was a member of St. Emeryâa�a��s Catholic Church in Fairfield, where she was a member of the church choir, and the Womensâa�a�� League. Mrs. Kasvinsky enjoyed crochetting, knitting and was a member of a sewing club. Her husband the late Joseph Stephen Kasvinsky, whom she married April 25, 1936, died August 14, 1974. She is survived by two sons: J. Robert and daughter-in-law Linda Kasvinsky of Harvard, MA; Dr. Peter and daughter-in-law Elaine Kasvinsky of Poland; and three grandchildren. One brother: Elmer Kedves and an infant sister precede her in death. Graveside services will be held at the Lawncroft Cooperative Cemetery, 1PM Saturday, September 21, 2002 in Fairfield, CT. The family requests memorials in her name be send to The School of Graduate Studies, c/o of YSU Foundation, Youngstown State Universtiy, Youngstown, Ohio 44555 Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
