Crownsville, Maryland - Ina Mae Banoczi, 80, formerly of Struthers, died Monday afternoon at Fairfield Nursing Center in Maryland.
Mrs. Banoczi was born March 11, 1932 in Columbus, a daughter of John Roy and Sylvia Mae McCollum Turner.
She was a graduate of Central High School and worked as an Executive Secretary. She was a former member of Struthers Presbyterian Church. Ina enjoyed spending time with her family and when her son's were young she attended all their sporting and school activities.
Her husband, Paul B. "Sarge" Banoczi, whom she married December 31, 1965, died August 10, 2001. She leaves two sons, Paul Banoczi Jr. of Clayton, NC and James Banoczi of Crofton, MD; one grandson, Alexander Banoczi; and one niece, Sheri of Glen Saint Mary, FL.
Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Banoczi was preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Louise DeSantis, and Ruth Turner; and two brothers, Robert Leroy and James Andrew Turner.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 am at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, with Rev. Gerald Fennell officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
