Hugh B Pannunzio

November 27, 1943 — June 17, 2012

Poland - Hugh B. Pannunzio, 68, of Poland, died June 17, 2012 at Vibra Hospital.
Mr. Pannunzio was born November 27, 1943 in Chanute, Kansas, a son of Hugo and Alberta Miller Pannunzio.

He was a 1961 Campbell Memorial High School graduate and went on to attend Youngstown State University. While working in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, as a mechanical engineer he was responsible for the design of the luggage carousels that you see in most airports today. Most recently he worked for V & M Star before retiring in 2006. Hugh sponsored a girls softball team in Campbell, H & J Design, for several years. He loved reading, history, woodworking, carving, and sports of any type.
Hugh was a kind and loving person who was very family oriented and had a fantastic sense of humor. He always put others first in his life, more concerned with their happiness and comfort rather than his own needs.

He is survived by his wife, the former Janet Fraile of Poland, whom he married June 21, 1969; one brother, Duane (Cindy) Pannunzio Sr. of Youngstown; three nephews, Duane Pannunzio Jr. of Campbell, Ryan Pannunzio of Delphos, OH, and Elvis Fraile of Long Island City, NY; two nieces, Jocelyn Pannunzio of Valley Village, CA and Julia (Ross) Cuyler of Santa Cruz, CA; one brother-in-law, Dan (Janet) Fraile of Long Island City, NY; two sisters-in-law, Dolores Brodnik of Parma and Pat Fraile of Boardman; a great-nephew, Christopher Pannunzio; and a great-niece, Isabella Pannunzio.
He also leaves three nieces by marriage; Christina and Danielle Millward and Melissa Almos; and five great-nieces and nephews, Isaiha, Johnny, Gino, Mia, and Alyssa.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
