New Middletown - Howard "Pete" Frazee, 88, formerly of Edinburg, PA, passed away Sunday evening, December 22, 2013 at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center with his family by his side.
Mr. Frazee was born March 2, 1925 in Markleysburg, PA, a son of James and Elizabeth Jenkins Frazee.
Mr. Frazee first worked as a carpenter for Lincoln Homes in Warren for 22 years and retired as a truck driver from Butch & McCree in Hillsville.
He was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran, serving during World War II.
Mr. Frazee was a member of the Mahoning Presbyterian Church, serving as a trustee, elder, deacon, and a member of its former Men's Group. He was also a former Boy Scout Leader and a member of the Mahoning Township Grange.
In his free time, his hobbies including hunting, fishing, camping, and woodworking.
He leaves his wife, the former Emma R. DeVault, whom he married July 31, 1946; three daughters, Sandra (Eugene) Moretti of Lowellville, Frances (Dan) Soroka of Valencia, PA, and Debby McAllister of New Castle, PA; daughter-in-law, Barbara Frazee of Edinburg; 10 grandchildren, Lori Ann (Tom) Moss, Vincent Moretti, Cheryl (Dan) Hochendoner, Michael Soroka, Beth (Ben) Smith, David (Amanda) Frazee, Andrew (Laura) Frazee, Bambi (Frank) Condell, Larry (Connie) McAllister, and Marlene McAllister; and six great-grandchildren, Abigail, Blake, Kyra, Nicholas, Austin, and Audra.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Frazee; brother, Ephriam Frazee; and granddaughter-in-law, Chrissi Soroka.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Mahoning Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at the Mahoning Presbyterian Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill St., Lowellville.
The family requests that memorial tributes and gifts take the form of contributions in Mr. Frazee's name to Mahoning Presbyterian Church, 4401 Skyhill Road, Pulaski, PA 16143.
