Obituary for Hope T Creed
Boardman - Hope T. Creed, 90, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in Brookdale Cornersburg Nursing Home. She was born October 10, 1924 in Youngstown, OH, daughter of the late Dan and Anka (Stephanoff) Theodoroff.
She was a 1942 graduate of Chaney High School and went on to attend Youngstown College of Business. She was employed as a teller for Dollar Savings & Trust for 25 years, retiring in 1988. Hope was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown and Holy Ghost Macedonian-Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church in Youngstown. She was an active quilter at Trinity and a member of the ladies' section at Holy Ghost. She was a lifelong member of the Macedonian Patriotic Organization and a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Hope loved entertaining and
hosting family reunions at her home. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, baking and anything to do with her grandchildren.
She leaves two daughters, Sharyn C. (Michael) McConnell of Scottsdale, AZ and Donna J. Creed of Mason, OH; a son, Donald R. (Charlene) Creed Jr. of North Lima; grandchildren, Scott (Martha) McConnell, Laura (Jonathan) Henderson, Anna McConnell, Stephanie Henry, Megan Henry and Daniel Creed; one great grandchild, Isla Henderson, and her sister, Marilyn Nedelkoff of Sydney, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Creed on Nov. 10, 2009 and her sister, Christina V. Theodoroff.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:30am at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. Boardman, with Pastor Jerry Krueger officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at a later date.
Friends will be received prior to the service from 10-11:15am on Saturday at the funeral home.
