Boardman - Henry Joseph Traveline, 94, of Boardman, died Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Henry was born May 12, 1916 in Lowellville, a son of Joseph and Lucy DeMarsh Traveline.
A 1936 graduate of Lowellville High School, Henry was was very proud to have been inducted into the Lowellville High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his high school football days.
Henry worked as a steel pourer and then general foreman in the electric furnace department of Sharon Steel, retiring in 1980 after 44 years of service.
He attended the Lowellville United Methodist Church.
An avid golfer, Henry also enjoyed wood working and making his special spaghetti sauce on Christmas Eve. Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather
and felt very fortunate to enjoy being a great-grandfather to his five great-grandchildren for over 18 years.
Henry leaves his wife, the former Lucille Schrader, whom he married July 16, 1936; one daughter, Kathryn Rayburn of Bay Village, OH; one son, Joseph (Anne) Traveline of Fowler, OH; one sister, Anna Sylvester of Lowellville; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Mills, John Rayburn, Alan (Dawn) Traveline, and Bryon Traveline; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan Mills, Andrew Mills, Melissa Rayburn, Matthew Rayburn, and Maxwell Rayburn.
Besides his parents, Henry was preceded in death by three brothers, Nick Dalch, Mike Traveline, and James Traveline.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 AM at the Lowellville United Methodist Church with Pastor Hal Haire officiating. Interment will be at the Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
Friends will be received Monday from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.
