HENRY FREDERICK MILLER âa�" 61 AUSTINTOWN -- Henry Frederick Miller, age 61 of Timberidge Dr. died Thursday morning at the Hospice House. Mr. Miller was born on February 28, 1946 in Youngstown, a son of Henry & Anna Mae Durkin Miller, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1965 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy, serving two terms in Viet Nam as a Boatsman Mate 3rd Class. He received the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Miller worked for WCI Steel for 41 years retiring in 2006 from the Transportation Department. He was a member of the American Legion post 732 of Lake Milton, the VFW post 3538 of Struthers. Mr. Miller was the past president of the Poland Little Bull Dogs, and was a score keeper for the Poland Baseball Association. He enjoyed traveling yearly to Las Vegas, and enjoyed taking Cruises to the Caribbean with his wife, Carol. He leaves his wife the former Carol Lynn, whom he married September 11, 1971, one daughter, Melissa (Bradford) Kaasa of Delaware, one son, Kirk Miller of Youngstown, one sister, Nancy Hagg, of Poland, one brother, John Miller of Youngstown, and four grandchildren, Madelyn, Brayden, Kirk Jr., and Kayla. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Mary Ellen Miller. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 3-6 at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 with Rev. Fred Marhusic officiating. Friends will be received Monday from 9:30 âa�" 10:15 am. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
