Henry McCrone passed away Tuesday morning at home with family at his side. He was preceded in death by his father, James Myron and mother, Ada B. (Flickinger), brother Harold and sisters Ida Jacobson and Mary Smith. He was born in Poland, Ohio on November 29,1916 and was founder and owner of McCrone's Furniture and Appliances which he opened in Poland in 1935 and moved to Boardman in 1971. He retired in 2000 at the age of 83 and was known for his friendly wave and always helping others in need. During his 64 year career he was owner/operator of the Triad Chemical Company, Petersburg Creamery, National Bible Institute and McCrone's grocery. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy (McCreary), children Charles of Dallas, TX, Christine O'Neal (Greg) of Columbiana, Kurt of Youngstown, with whom he made his home, Kimberly Wickert (Scott) of Medina, OH, and Judiann Romeo (Jim) of Struthers. He had six grandchildren, Chad, Jillian, Jake, Delaney, Jascelynn, Jack and two great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Jessen. He also leaves his beloved nephew Wade Smith, Jr. And Lillian Mills who he raised as his own.Funeral services will be on Friday 11AM at the Poland United Methodist Church.
Friends will received Thursday from 4-7PM at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home,
Poland and Friday 10:-10:45AM at the church.
