Henry S. "Hank" Kwiecien, 83

BOARDMAN - Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Boardman United Methodist Church for Henry S. Kwiecien, 83, who passed away Tuesday morning at Beeghly Oaks Nursing Home.
Mr. Kwiecien was born Sept. 15, 1927, in Youngstown, a son of John and Sophie Kusmierezyk Kwiecien.
He had been employed by Republic Steel/ L.T.V. Steel for 42 years as an assistant loader in the shipping department retiring in 1985.
Henry was a member of the church where he served as an usher, the US Steel Workers of American SOAR Local 1331, Youngstown Numismatic Coin Club, and the Boardman Historical Society.
He was a former member of the Goodwill Guild and enjoyed working with flowers and had volunteered at the Canfield Fair in the Floral Dept. and was a former member the Youngstown Men's Garden Club.
He was an avid bowler and golfer.
Surviving him is his wife, the former Ann Percy, whom he married Oct. 16, 1954 and a son, James Kwiecien.
Four sisters, Mary, Stella, Henrietta, and Dolly.
Preceding him in death besides his parents, are three brothers, Walter, Edward and John; and a sister, Anna.
Friends may call Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Church Memorial Fund, Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
