Henry S Fletcher, 88, of Canfield, died Sunday afternoon September 23, 2018 at Caprice Health Care Center in North Lima.
He was born October 6, 1929 in Whitesboro, NY, son of Fred and Susie Fletcher.
He graduated from Whitesboro High School and then served in the United States Navy. He retired as a letter carrier from the United States Postal Service after 32 years.
He attended Parkside Church in Struthers. A 32nd degree Mason, he was a member of Argus Lodge No. 545 where he was the Master of the lodge in 1978. He also was a member of the Youngstown Shrine Club. One of the greatest joys for Henry was transporting children to the Shrine hospitals.
His first wife of fifty three years, Martha Jean Fletcher, died in 2003.
Besides his wife, Linda, whom he married October 13, 2004 he leaves his daughter, Nancy (Ronnie) Donofrio of Canfield, Ohio; a sister, Ruth Hawksley of Old Forge, New York; a grandson, Julian Donofrio of Columbus, OH.; daughter, Jill Dudik; grandchildren, Raymond (Chelsea, and R.C.) Dudik, Jonathan Dudik, Douglas (Kelly) Suchy, Shannon (Justin) Cline, Leigha Hensley; great-grandchildren, Campbell, Addison, Ian, Christopher, Gabrielle, McKenzie, Kyle, Kylie, Briella, and Joseph. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald, James, and Eugene Fletcher; his daughter,Tracie Hensley, and his son-in-law, Raymond Dudik
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday September 27, 2018 at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman with Pastor James Berkebile officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Canfield, Ohio. Friends may call from 11-12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
