Poland - Helen Eva Yurcic, 93, of Van Drive, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at her daughter's residence. Mrs. Yurcic was born Wednesday, November 5, 1913 in Grays Landing, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Maximillian âa�A"Mikeâa�A� and Anna Vlosich. Mrs. Yurcic was a homemaker, a member of the Holy Family Church, and a Member of the Navy Mothers Club. She enjoyed cooking, bird watching, baking, collecting recipes and frog figurines. She is survived by two daughters, Helen (Pete) Smith of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Gerry (Eugene) Riggs of New Waterford, OH; two sons, Fred (Wanda) Yurcic of Yorba Linda, CA, and George (Theresa) Yurcic of Poland, OH; two sisters, Katherine Kopcsos of Struthers, and Barbara Sokol of Largo, FL; 13 grandchildren, Kathy (Roger) Clark, Jeanne Ann (Jim) Dahl, Michael (Patty) Smith, Bob (Laura) Smith, Jim (Amie) Smith, Patty (Dave) Milkins, Kevin (Christine) Smith, Michael Riggs, Daniel Riggs, Debbie Riggs, Sandy Riggs, Sharon Riggs, George (Holly) Yurcic, and Michael Yurcic; 3 step-grandchildren, Debbie, Doug, and Scott; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand P. Yurcic, whom she married November 25, 1933, on September 23, 1988; four brothers, Thomas, Nicholas, Frank, and Joseph Vlosich; one sister, Rose Pesha, and five siblings who died in infancy. Family and friends may call Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where prayer services will be held Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Holy Family Church, Monday, July 16, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. with Msgr.
