Struthers- Helen F. Tablack, of Struthers, died Thursday evening, June 23, 2011 at Assumption Village.
Mrs. Tablack was born October 15, 1917 in Butler, PA, a daughter of Nicholas and Tillie Faddock.
A graduate of Struthers High School, Mrs. Tablack worked during World War II at the Ravenna Arsenal on the assembly line. She was a wonderful homemaker, who over the years made a warm home for her husband, five children, and grandchildren.
She was a member of Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church and the VFW Post No. 3538 Ladies Auxiliary in Struthers.
Her husband, Sam Tablack, whom she married June 14, 1941, died January 18, 1984. She leaves three daughters, Helen Tablack of Burbank, CA, Susan Tablack of Denver, CO, and Mimi Tablack of Upper Arlington; two sons, George (Nancy) Tablack of New Middletown and Samuel (Fran) Tablack of Boardman; four grandchildren, Michael (Patty) Tablack of New Middletown, Stephanie (Brian) Swanke of Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Jennifer (John) Tomaino of Canfield, and Sharyn (Hugh) Thomas of Green; and seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Trevor, and Skyler Swanke, John, Dominic, and Matthew Tomaino, and Cole Thomas.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ann Cebak, Mary Deetjen, Betty Haight, and Tillie Mohorik; and three brothers, Steve, Michael, and John Faddock.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers followed by a Parastas Service at 7 p.m.
Panachida Services will be offered Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Divine Liturgy on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Christopher Burke officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
