Stuthers- Helen Pesa, 91, died January 19, 2014 at Greenbriar Health Center.
Mrs.Pesa was born October 28, 1922 in Youngstown, a daughter of Mike and Rose Martino.
She was a Campbell Memorial High School graduate and was a self-employed hairdresser, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She was involved in her neighborhood card club and enjoyed bowling even in her 90's at holiday Bowl. Helen also liked taking trips to the casinos. She was a seamstress and enjoyed doing needle work and making afghan's.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Pesa of Struthers, whom she married July 19, 1948; a daughter, Cindy Glasser of Boardman; a son, Rick (Drema) Pesa of Boardman; and one grandson, Anthony (Erin) of Charlottesville, VA.
Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Lou and John Martino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael Cariglio officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 9:30-10:15AM at the church.
