Boardman- Helen Maki, 92, formerly of Maplewood, Struthers, died Wednesday evening at the Greenbriar Nursing Home. She was born November 30, 1909 in Debrecen, Hungary to Frank and Roza Gabor. She emigrated to America in 1921, and has been a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Maki belonged to the Poland Village Baptist Church, where she was an active member, taking part in many of the ladies activities, and playing musical accompaniment for the services. She is survived by her two sons: William S. (Joan) of Strongsville; Raymond F. (Rose) of Poland; a sister: Irene Molnar of Kitchner, Ontario; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Maki whom she married June 18, 1927, and who passed away July 4, 1993; a sister Margaret Vass; two brothers: Frank and Paul Gabor; and a great-grandson. A Funeral Service will be held 6:30 PM, Friday at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5PM until the time of service at 6:30PM.
