Helen Louise Greene

July 18, 1935 — November 16, 2011

Helen Louise Greene passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 16th after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer with her loving family by her side.
Helen was the daughter of the late Ruth and Ross McCoy born July 18, 1935 in Columbiana County.
She married Edward Harold Greene October 29, 1954. They have celebrated 57 years together.
Helen treasured her family and friends. She was always there at a moment's notice making sure they had a home cooked meal, a friend to listen or a kind loving word. She was "Mom" to many and a friend to all.
Helen was a member of the Poland Methodist Church. She spent over 40 years working in the kitchen with "her girls" catering many dinners, church functions and fund raisers. Helen cooked and served dinner for the Salvation Army for many years. She was the Worthy High Priestess 1991-1992 with the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, An active member of Miriam Chapter Order of Eastern Star and a board member of the United Methodists Women Society and Mary Martha Circle.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Ruth McCoy, Sisters Dorothy and Joann McCoy, Brothers Richard and Homer McCoy.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband Edward Greene, daughter Lori (Kato) Greene, Sons Doug (Jody) and Dan (Candy) Greene, Grandchildren, Cody (Gerri), Casey Ann, Jarret and Tanner Greene, Great Grandchildren Mason and Tess Greene
She also leaves behind her loving Sisters Jean Springer and Linda Burkey and Brothers Don, Glen, Earl, Dave and Rich McCoy and many, many loving nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 11:00 AM at the Poland Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Grant officiating. Friends may call Monday from 4-7 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and Tuesday, from 10-10:45 AM at the church.
The family request memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Poland Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, Poland, 44514 or to the Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, OH., 44511.
