Lowellville - Helen T. Genova, 91, died Friday morning, June 27, 2014 at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.

Mrs. Genova was born October 4, 1922 in Lowellville, a daughter of Carmen and Maria Sabina Rotz.

A lifelong resident of Lowellville, Mrs. Genova was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and keeping a clean house.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.

Her husband, Joseph Andrew Genova, died April 17, 1996. Her loving memory will live on through her daughter, Barbara Rotunno of Poland; four grandchildren, Joseph (Lori) Genova of Poland, Scott Genova of Struthers, Michael (Krissy) Rotunno of Poland, and Phillip Rotunno of Struthers; and eight great-grandchildren, Vincent, Mykenzie, Nicole, Angelina, Samantha, and Sophia Rotunno, and J.P. and Nico Genova.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Genova was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Genova; son-in-law, Lawrence Rotunno; six brothers, Joseph, Samuel, Ralph, Charles, and Louie Rotz and Tony Rozzi; and four sisters, Annie Tanferno, Jennie Malice, Cecelia DiCicco, and Rose Fiorentine.

A prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Family and friend will be received today from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Masternick Memorial Health Care Center for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to Helen during her stay with them.
