Helen Dorothy Bixler, 90 Columbiana- Helen Dorothy Bixler, 90, of 11138 Detwiller Rd., formerly of Brownlee Woods died Friday morning at her residence. Mrs. Bixler was born December 10, 1912 in Massillon, a daughter of John J. and Maude Fulton Harig. She was a life-long area resident moving to Columbiana 10 years ago. She was a member of Faith Community Church formerly Bethlehem United Church of Christ for over 70 years. She was a member of the church SIMAR Sunday School Class and itsâa�a�� Brownlee Woods Senior Citizens group. While living in Columbiana she became a friend of Good Hope Lutheran Church in North Lima. She was a charter member of the Youngstown Mother of Twins Club and a former member of Youngstown Federation of Women. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working the polls on Election Day. Her husband Howard Daniel Bixler whom she married September 4, 1937 died December 2, 1993. She will be greatly missed by her twin daughters, Jean A. (Wallace) Ketzel with whom she lived and Joan L. (William) Keaggy of Columbiana; one son, William E. Bixler of White City, Kansas; one brother, Howard H. Harig of Austintown; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, two sisters, Lois and Catherine Harig and one brother, Oscar F. Harig preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 a.m. at Faith Community Church. Friends may call Sunday from 1-4 a.m. at the Davidson- Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and Monday from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. in church.
