Struthers - Helen B. Anetsko, 79, of Struthers, passed away August 12, 2009.
Mrs. Anetsko was born August 27, 1929 in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of Antoni and Anna Boda Bocek. She moved to the Youngstown area in 1968 upon her marriage.
A 1947 graduate of Union High School, Mrs. Anetsko worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone for 30 years, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers and she attended St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Her interests included sewing and knitting, making clothes for both herself and others.
She leaves her husband, Richard J. Anetsko, whom she married November 16, 1968, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Georgia Bocek and her brother, Frank Bocek.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where family and friends will be received from 9-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
