Hazel Tibbits Johnson

Hazel Tibbits Johnson, 92 Chapel Hill, NC- Hazel Tibbits Johnson, 92, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, died Saturday morning at Chapel Hill Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Johnson was born January 1, 1911 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Naomi Gilmer Tibbits. She lived for many years in Poland and then Cleveland where she lived with her son Robert. After retiring from a banking career she worked in Shaker Heights, Ohio at the high school. She moved to the Chapel Hill area 10 years ago. She is survived by two sons, Robert H. Johnson of Chapel Hill and Terry R. (Cheri) Johnson of Benton, Arkansas; two grandsons, Charles and Todd and a great-grandson Thane. Funeral services were held today at the Lake Park Chapel. There were no calling hours. The family requests memorial tributes go to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1198 Stadium Drive, Boardman, Ohio 44512 or to the First United Methodist Church in Benton, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
