POLAND – Harry Wonderly, 89, formerly of 2213 Parkway Drive, died Dec. 28, 2016, at Masternick Memorial.
Mr. Wonderly was born July 20, 1927, in Struthers, a son of James and Mona Egan Wonderly.
He was Assistant Treasure for the DeBartolo Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1982.
Harry was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church and the Struthers VFW Post No. 3538.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
Harry enjoyed horse racing, watching the Kentucky Derby, and golf.
His wife, the former Sally Mae Newton, whom he married Oct. 6, 1954, died April 6, 1999.
He is survived by one daughter, Vanessa (Frank) Rossi of Poland; one son, Mark (Sue) Wonderly of Fayetteville, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Tara (Chad) Kaden, Christina (Scott) Minadeo, Jennifer (Echo Miller) Rossi, Jason (Cory Gates) Rossi, Matthew Wonderly, Travis Wonderly, and Melinda Wonderly; and four great-grandchildren, Jalin, Rya and Kaliana Kaden, and Giuliana Minadeo.
Besides his parents and wife, Harry was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Jean Winwood; and one granddaughter, Amanda Wonderly.
Per Harry’s wishes there will be no services or calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
