Struthers - Harry M. "WOODY" Williams, 85, passed away peacefully, March 20, 2012 at the Hospice House.
Mr. Williams, affectionately known by many as "Woody" was born December 28, 1926 in Youngstown, a son of Randall and Bonnie Williams.
A graduate of Boardman High School, Mr. Williams worked as a lineman for Ohio Edison for 42 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the UWUA Local 118, where he served as past secretary and president. For over 50 years, Woody also worked for the Canfield Fair as a supervisor of electrical maintenance.
He attended Holy Family Parish in Poland and enjoyed watching the Poland Marching Band and girls cross country and track teams.
Mr. Williams was a United States Navy Veteran, serving in the South Pacific, during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Carole, of almost 32 years; daughter, Felicia (Chris) Katafias of Toledo; three grandchildren, Kyle and Derek Nichols of Toledo and Nicole (Ricci) Magsino of Florida; three great-grandchildren, Kayson and Jayden Magsino of Florida and Madison Nichols of Toledo; brother, Curt Beamer of Illinois; his fairy godchildren, the Klim triplets, Michelle, McKinsie, Melissa, and their older sister, Victoria; his favorite gambling pal, Patsy Silvestri; and his private nurse and guardian angel, and her driver, Joel and Mary Baker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Huston.
Private services were held for the family.
