Harry S. Perrine, Jr. Poland- Harry S. Perrine, Jr., 61, of Thunderbird Drive, died early Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mr. Perrine was born August 27, 1944 in Venice, Florida, a son of Harry S. and Charlotte Wellendorf Perrine Sr. He was raised in New Castle and moved to the Poland area over 30 years ago. He was a 1962 graduate of New Castle High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Youngstown State University. He was a Mechanical Engineer and retired from Taylor Winfield Corporation in January of 2000. As a specialized teacher, Mr. Perrine taught Mechanical Engineering at Youngstown State University. He was past president of Mahoning Valley Technical Societies and for 30 years, a treasurer of the American Society of Mechanical Engineer. Mr. Perrine was a United States Marine Corp veteran. An avid golfer, Mr. Perrine was a member of various golf leagues, most recently, Rolling Hills and Tam-O-Shanter Golf Leagues. During his golfing career he was honored with two plaques for obtaining two holes in one. Mr. Perrine is survived by his wife, the former Peggy Sullivan, whom he married December 26, 1970; one sister, Ruth Ann Mulhollen of Ellwood City; and many nieces and nephews, including great and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home and from 8:30 AM until 9:15 AM at the funeral home.
