Hallie M. Dugan, 82 New Springfield âa�" Hallie Marie Dugan, 82, died Thursday at her residence. She was born January 26, 1924 in Enon Valley, PA, a loved and loving daughter of Herbert and Edna Crux Dugan. Ms. Dugan attended Struthers and Poland schools and graduated from Choffin School of Practical Nursing in 1963. She was married to Vaughn L. Himes in August, 1940. She was employed as a surgical nurse at the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital for many years and later at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. After retirement, she worked part-time at Shepherd of the Valley, Poland. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown where she was a Eucharistic Minister and was involved in the RCIA Program. Ms. Dugan was a member of the Poland Extension Club and the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed computer and photography classes at the Senior Center in Youngstown and volunteered as an usher at Powers Auditorium. Ms. Dugan is survived by her children, Terry (Mary) Himes or Poland, Karen George of Columbiana, and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Himes of New Middletown, her five grandchildren, Lee (Sharry) Himes and Michael (Lynn) Himes both of Canfield, Jeanne (William) Francis of Columbus, Kelly (Mark) Planey and Erik (Angie) George both of Poland, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband who died in 1964, her son Michael H. Himes, a sister Louise Dutton, and brother Thomas Dugan. Friends may call one hour prior to the mass of Christian burial which will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, New Middletown.
