Gwendolyn C. Schraum Russell, 95 LOWELLVILLE- Gwendolyn C. Schraum Russell, 95, formerly of Lowellville died Friday afternoon at Maplecrest Nursing Home. She moved to Lowellville in 1914. Mrs. Russell was born November 3, 1908 in Hillsville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of George and Isa Spanglehour Schraum. She was a member of the Lowellville United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 40 years, and served on the board. She was Superintendent of the Sunday School. Her husband Robert Russell, whom she married in 1928, died December 29, 1985. She leaves one daughter, Dolores Russell DeMetro of Lowellville; one sister, Vivian Olive of Lowellville; three grandchildren, Nancy DeMetro of Canal Fulton, Keith and Jamie DeMetro of Lowellville, Eileen and Ray Curry of West Virginia; five great grandchildren, Mark Curry of Alexdaner, VA., Cari Goodman of Sterling, VA., Aaron Curry of West Virgina; Michael and Kelsie DeMetro of Lowellville; and one great great granddaughter Ameliah Goodman. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Beryl Maurice; and one brother, Myron Schraum. Funeral services will be Monday 1PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4PM at the funeral home.
