Grecthen E. Brickley

NORTH LIMA ­ Gretchen E. Brickley, 86, died Jan. 23, 2018, at Assumption Village.

Mrs. Brickley was born April 8, 1931, in Cambridge Springs, Pa., a daughter of Lloyd and Anne Sherrod Carter.

She graduated from Huntington High School in Indiana. Gretchen worked part-time in the cafeteria at Boardman High School. She was an active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.

Gretchen also enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Brickley, whom she married, April 14, 1951; two daughters, Julie (Russell) DiSibio of Boardman and Ann (David) Booth of Boardman; two sons, David Brickley of Boardman and Robert (Lisa) Brickley of Gainesville, Ga.; one brother, Robert Carter of Huntington, Ind.; one sister, Patricia Anderson of Port Clinton; 13 grandchildren, Matt

(Kelly) Brickley, Mandy Brickley, Marc (Jessaca) Brickley, Damon Brickley, Jamie (Jaclyn) DiSibio, Ryan DiSibio, Adam (Ava) DiSibio, Mallory (Andy) Thounhurst, Erin (Blake) Bullard, Taylor Brickley, Sarah Booth, Emily Booth, and Alex Booth; and 10 great-grandchildren, Carter Brickley, Jackson Brickley, Sydney DiSibio, Brooks DiSibio, Tessa DiSibio, Elise DiSibio, Brantley Thounhurst, Bryson Thounhurst, Blake Bullard, and Adara Bullard.

She was preceded in death by both her parents.

A memorial service will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Saturday at noon. Friends and family will be received one hour prior at the church.
