Grace Juanita Ruth, 89 Salem- Grace Juanita Ruth, 89, passed on Wednesday evening after a long illness at Blossom Nursing Center. Mrs. Ruth was born April 23, 1915, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of Lars Ludvig and Svanhilda Hedenmark Lundgren. She was a life-long area resident of Youngstown. She is parted from her husband of 68 years, Charles E. Ruth of Salem. She was the loving mother of four children, Charlene Grace (Robert) Reeder of Canfield, Harry Leonard (Martha) Ruth of The Villages, FL, Donald Charles (Vivian) Ruth of Dayton, OH, and Charles Victor (Brenda) Ruth of Hubbard, OH. She is survived by sixteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a lifelong childhood friend, Vera Whiting. Grace was a 1932 graduate of South High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She served as Sunday school and bible school teacher at South United Presbyterian and John Knox Presbyterian Churches, was active in the PTA at Williamson and Garfield schools, serving as President for several years. She was also a Cub Scout den mother, and a poll-worker for the board of elections. She was active in both the Youngstown and Columbiana Rose Societies, winning numerous top awards over the years. Grace was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Columbiana. Besides her parents, three sisters, Olga Brocious, Elsie Brocious, and Lillian Moore; and three brothers, Rudolph Lundgren, Earl Lundgren, and Harry Lundgren preceded her in death.
