GRACE H. MARTEENY - 88 BOARDMANâa�"Grace H. Marteeny, 88 of 418 Meadowbrook Ave., died Saturday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1917 in Wilkes-Barre, PA., a daughter of George & Harriet Holvey Preston Mrs. Marteeny was a 1935 graduate of Meyers High School in Wilkes-Barre, during World War II, she worked for Bell Aircraft. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Wilkes-Barre, the Poland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of its Ladies Circle. She also enjoyed working on Jig-saw puzzles. She is survived by her husband Donald E. Marteeny of 64 years, whom she married February 1, 1941. Four sons, Donald âa�A"Donâa�A� (Betty) Marteeny of Meadville; John (Kathy) Marteeny of White Oak, PA; Chris (Kathy) Marteeny of Belleville, TX ; Richard (Donna) Marteeny of Poland; 10 grandchildren, Amber, Lisa, Alexa, Elizabeth, Lorraine, Angela, Monica, Donnie, Dan, Melissa; Two great-grandchildren. Zack and Corey. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, LaVerne, Albert and John Preston, five sisters; Ida Lear, Effie Ebberts, Eldia Lohman, Ruth Burau and Emma Reese.
