Grace M. Heyer

CHAGRIN FALLS - Grace M. Heyer, 100, formerly of Youngstown, died peacefully Dec. 11, 2017.
Mrs. Heyer was born Nov. 22, 1917, in Glassport, Pa., daughter of William and Hazel Gibson McChain.
Grace was a 1935 graduate of South High School.
She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family. She was very proud to have celebrated her 100th birthday on Thanksgiving, with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and also her friends at Hamlet Hills on the weekend of Nov. 26.
Grace was a member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Youngstown and a past member of the Chaney Wives Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda (James) Heyer Loveland of Chesterland; four grandchildren, Christopher (Meggan), Matthew Rebecca, Adam (Lesley) Loveland; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon Reel, Bella Loveland, Stella Loveland, and Jody Loveland.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Louis, whom she married Aug. 5, 1939, and who died in 1993.
Services will be held at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. in Boardman, Thursday at 1 p.m., with Pastor Dave Kamphuis officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Friends and family will be received Thursday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
