Grace A. Christian

Grace A. Christian, 80 Poland- Grace A. Christian, 80, of the Greenbriar Nursing Home died Wednesday evening with her family present. Mrs. Christian was born in St. Boniface, Pennsylvania January 1, 1923, a daughter of John and Mary Burkhart Dixon. She came to the area in 1925. She was a 1941 graduate of East High School and a homemaker. She worked at Republic Rubber Company and Automatic Sprinkler Company. She was active for 30 years in the Tri-T and Poland Baseball, as well as the fund raising committee for the YMCA. Mrs. Christian was past President of Lincoln School PTA and Past President and Treasurer of the Poland Athletic Boosters. She also worked for the cancer drive for the past 3 years.. She leaves, her husband, William, whom she married January 29, 1948; two sons, Bob (Shirley) Christian of North Lima and Don (Darlene) Christian of Poland; and two grandchildren, Casey and William Christian. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, Raymond, and Ralph Dixon; and one sister, Mildred Rahn. Funeral Services will be Saturday 1PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call today from 5-8 PM and Saturday 12:00-12:45 PM at the funeral home.
